Winter Deep Treatment Recipe for Dry Hair
Harsh winter weather do take a toll on not only our skin but also our hair. As the weather starts to get colder, the level of humidity begins to drop. This leaves little hydration in the air, causing even drier, more brittle, and duller hair.
The colder months require a change in your hair routine. For some, that may mean using a thick cream-based deep conditioners and moisturizers. For others that may mean adding in an oil to the routine.
With hydration being one of the top hair concerns of naturals around the world, we are sharing how to keep your hair moisturized on the coldest of days.
Here at Adesewa Naturlz HQ we have come up with the perfect deep treatment recipe to give your dry brittle hair the TLC it needs to thrive during the cold winter months.
For this hair recipe you will need:
3-4 Tbsp. of our Hibiscus and Herbs deep conditioning hair treatment (depending on the length and density of your hair)
2 Tbsp. Lily of the desert aloe Vera gel (can be found at your local Health Foods or whole foods store)
Mix all together and apply in sections to freshly washed hair. Cover hair with plastic cap and sit under a hooded dryer for 25-30 minutes. Feel free to leave hair uncovered and sit under a hair steamer for 20 mins for maximum hydration.
Or go old school and cover hair with plastic cap then insulate by also covering with a scarf or towel and go about your day doing chores and keep this in for 4-5 hours. Rinse and style hair as usual.
Whichever method of deep conditioning you choose your hair will definitely benefit from this TLC winter hair treat.
